This cross is composed of nine scenes five of which are scenes from the Passion Cycle. Scenes from the Passion Cycle are depicted in the panels that compose the crossing section of the crucifix. The story is told from left to right in its own sort of cycle. In the top panel of the proper right side of the cross is a bound Jesus appearing between two soldiers before Pontius Pilate. The central and largest panel is the Crucifixion. The top scene on the proper left arm of the cross depicts the Deposition from the Cross and just below it is the Entombment. The bottom, proper right scene is of the Holy Women at the Tomb discovering that Christ's body was no longer there. The crowning scene of the cross has yet to be identified. Seated at a table are two saints and an angel. In the foreground are three figures, two of which hold up perhaps holy objects (they cover their hands with a cloth so as not to touch the bowls or cups they hold) and a figure sacrificing (?) an animal. The three scenes in the lowermost section of the cross are populated with saints.
